About Us
Michael Parramore is a native of north Florida. His ancestors were some of the original settlers in this area. These deep roots contribute to his love and appreciation of the north Florida area that is depicted in his paintings.
Michael started drawing as a small child and many of these early examples of his work are displayed throughout his parents home. His formal training included art classes in high school and a local community college. He was exposed to all mediums in these classes but watercolor remains his preferred choice. Though he took art classes in school, he is basically a self-taught artist.
In high school and college Michael won many awards in area art shows. Recently, several paintings, Posey's and the St. Mark's Lighthouse, received awards in the 2008 North Florida Fair Art Exhibit.
Michael is married to the former Beth Langston who is also a native of north Florida. They have two children, Hunter and Georgia. The whole family has a love for animals that include dogs, ducks, hamsters, and even a pig called Petunia.
We invite you to peruse this web site that depicts samples of Michael's art work. Note cards and prints are available in addition to original watercolors. Also, Michael works by commission. He would be happy to quote you a price if you would like a beautiful custom watercolor.
If you would like additional information or want to make a purchase, contact Michael by letter or e-mail.
